Work in your preferred domain—be it pattern making or 3D modeling—while ensuring precise replication across both spaces. Effortlessly generating precise 2D pattern designs from 3D models that you are working on or vice versa.
01
Creativity and productivity without limits
Design technical 2D patterns with extreme precision and efficiency, thanks to automated and simplified advanced tools for perfect flattering, scaling sizes, calculating material consumption, obtaining datasheets, preparing cutting boards and much more.
02
Modeling reality
Create and edit hyper-realistic footwear models and 3D pieces, bottom parts, accessories and lasts, export them to standard 3D formats and use ultra high photorealistic rendering to see them transcend the digital dimension.
03
To share with your team, sustainably
With your cloud platform each member can work collaboratively to upload, share and manage 3D models, pieces, accessories, materials and lasts from any place or device, avoiding physical samples and waste.
04
Some features
Automatic adjustment of the model to different lasts
Allows the automatic adaptation of a model in different lasts.
Design and modify 3D lasts, even boot last
It allows lasts adjustments and generates new ones from existing lasts with
tools such as blending, rectifying or merging.
Creation of accessories
It allows you to import and create accessories such as buckles, studs,
zippers to apply them very easily on the model. It also has a wizard for the
creation of laces.
Creation of soles (and other footwear components)
Soles can be imported and adjusted automatically. Also, it is possible to
create soles and other components from scratch, by using the automatic
wizards or manually by modeling with surfaces or polygon meshes.
Advanced and specific pattern tools
Drawing tools necessary for the creation of the shell (margins, symmetries,
rotations) as well as layer management.
Vectorization of 2D pieces
Convert scanned pieces to digital pieces. Automatic piece creation from
.dxf files is also supported.
Creation of 2D pieces and lines
Use tools for creating and editing lines, texts, shapes. They can be stored in
a library to be used in later models. Creation/ editing/ management tools.
3D cutting-edge flateing tools, even for moccasins
Obtain and edit the flattening of a 3D last in a very precise way.
Pieces library
Store pieces and keep them accessible and classified to be reused in other models.
Size generation
It allows the application of size grading systems and a multitude of modifiers.
Line drawing on 3D last
Use the 3D last as a canvas to draw the style lines.
Generation of combinations
Generate different material combinations on the same model.
SubD polygon mesh editor
The Subd polygon mesh editor allows modeling from scratch or editing any
element of the model.
Quad remesh
Configure the remesh of any element of the model, either generated in Icad
or imported. It is used to edit the elements from the polygon mesh editor or
to drastically reduce the weight of the files.
Organic deformation editor
Deform the model, any of its elements or the last. The most frequent uses
are to give a relaxed appearance, to make adjustments or to modify the
relief of surfaces.
Creation of PBR materials
Create and apply PBR materials on an existing model based on the
following maps: base color, normal, metallicity, roughness, ambient
occlusion and opacity. In addition, they can contain all kinds of information
needed for management and production. Supported formats: .mtw .shm
.sbsar .xml .u3m.
Compatibility with Substance Materials
Full support to modify the parameters of .sbsar materials generated with
Adobe Substance.
3D model web viewer
Use the ICad Workspace web platform with all its functionalities thanks to a
user account. Among many other functionalities, it is possible to store
models, visualize them and generate combinations.
Cost calculation from 3D model
Flatten 3D pieces to make an indicative calculation of material
consumption and cost of the model for those cases in which the pattern is
not available.
Export to cutting machine
Configuration of the tools to be used by the cutting machine, and
exportation to the main machines on the market in .dxf .shc .spf .cpz .shn formats.
Automatic layout nesting for cardboard plotter cutting
Place the pieces on the board automatically and give the machine the
order to cut directly from Icad.
Automatic filling of manufacturing data sheets (Techpack)
It allows to generate technical sheets documenting the production process step by step, as well as to calculate the cost of the model by specifying the costs of materials and labors thanks to the BOM (Bill Of Materials) and BOL (Bill Of Labours) respectively.
Calculation of material consumption
Calculate and generate a detailed report with the necessary material consumption to be used in the production with these methods: parallelogram, rectangle, envelope, leather, synthetic, synthetic multi-piece, roll, strip, etc.
Our training
Training courses are integrated as a fundamental and required part of every first license purchase of our solutions. Therefore, whether you have experienced or not, you will become a master in your Icad solution.
